Opportunities to become an EPSB Tournament Director

Home » Opportunities to become an EPSB Tournament Director

The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards is on the lookout for more Tournament Directors to officiate at their events.

Tournament Directors (TDs) play a vital role in the organisation’s activities. Without a nominated TD, there is no event. Throughout the 2021/22 season, the EPSB will organise and administer over 100 events across the country in several different categories, and all of these need to be catered for.

As well as the satisfaction that you are making a very valuable contribution to the sport, EPSB TDs receive £50 per day (and certain expenses) for their time and expertise whilst at events.

You do not need to be a referee in order to become a TD with the EPSB. So long as you have a basic knowledge of how sporting tournaments are run, the EPSB and its existing team of friendly and approachable TDs will provide training and guidance on all aspects of fulfilling the role. Many of these skills are interchangeable and can be taken into wider life situations.

If you are interested and would like to find out further details, or to express your interest, please send the EPSB a short message on, along with any previous experience you may have had (for example, at a club or with a local league).
