The EPSB is happy to announce that the 2023 English Women’s Snooker Championship is set to take place on Friday 12th May 2023 at the Landywood Snooker Club.
The national championship will be played the day before the British Women’s Open – organised by World Women’s Snooker – begins at the same venue in Great Wyrley.
As part of the EPSB’s plans to increase participation within the category, the English Women’s Snooker Championship returned to the national calendar in 2020. Emma Parker (2020) and Rebecca Kenna (2022) have both since won the title.
The 2023 Championship is open to any woman player who has a valid 2022/23 EPSB Women’s Membership. Become an EPSB Member here.
The format will feature an initial groups phase with the top players qualifying into the knockout rounds.
Match lengths, and the number of players in the groups and the knockout rounds will be determined after the closing date. The draw will be made on the morning of the Championship.
Entries open on Monday 14th November 2022 at 09:00. Entries close on Friday 5th May 2023 at 12:00.
You can enter the Championship on snookerscores.net here.
The entry fee for the Championship is £30. Prize money payouts and the dress code will be released in due course.
As per the EPSB’s International Selection Criteria, the winner, runner-up and semi-finalists from the Championship will be invited to compete at the following EBSA European Women’s Individual and Team Championships.
