Rebecca Kenna defeated Ellise Scott 3-0 in the final of the 2025 English Women’s Championship to successfully retain the title at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.
Kenna did not drop a single frame across five matches as the former World Snooker Tour (WST) professional stormed through the field to lift the national championship title for a record-extending third time.
The one-day event saw a field of nine cueists competing in an initial group phase where places in the semi-finals were on offer.
The 36-year-old made short work of the opening round as she topped the group with whitewash wins over Selina Dean, Zoe Killington and 14-year-old Scott – who joined her in the last four courtesy of victories over the other two cueists.
Recently crowned World Women’s Snooker Seniors champion Tessa Davidson was dominant in the other group, picking up a clean sweep of 2-0 victories over Louise Jordan, Rose Nicholson, Emma Brown and Daisy May Oliver with a tournament high break of 65.
Nicholson completed the semi-final line-up but the 46-year-old proved no match for Kenna, who ran out a 3-0 victor to set up a title match with Scott after she had stunned Davidson 3-2 to reach a maiden English Women’s Championship final.
Kenna had arrived at the Northern Snooker Centre as the reigning champion and strong favourite and she proved this to be the case as she comfortably overcame Scott once again in the final to retain her title.
