SWMBSA ‘A’ and Leeds ADT 2 were among eight teams to confirm their places in the English League Championship finals weekend at last weekend’s second qualifier.

Now into its third year, the 2026 English League Championship sees a revamped format with teams of three (plus one reserve) competing for a minimum total prize fund of £3,000. Learn more about the new format.

Twelve teams contested the second qualifying event at the Landywood Snooker Club with the top four teams from each group joining Wednesfield, SWMBSA ‘B’, Leeds and Oxford Snooker League – who advanced from the first event last month.

The teams SWMBSA ‘A’ and Leeds ADT 2 topped the two groups to secure their places in the finals weekend in June.

In Group A, the team of SWMBSA ‘A’ – featuring Riley Parsons, Jack Harris, Daniel Ward were joined by Leeds ADT 1, Preston’s Elite and Balls of Fury in earning qualification. The highest break of the group was compiled by Leeds ADT 1’s Richard Binns, who made a 105.

This was only outdone by Leeds ADT 2’s Lewis Harper, who fired in a break of 114 as his team topped Group B. They were joined by Whitchurch Weapons, Hull EY and Pick a Pocket in advancing to the next stage.
