England’s Connor Benzey has been drawn against compatriot Stuart Carrington in the first round of the upcoming BetVictor Shoot Out.
The tournament, which takes place at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes from 4-7 February 2021, will see 18-year-old Benzey compete alongside the world’s leading professional players as one of eight amateur nominations by the WPBSA.
Southampton’s Benzey, who finished as runner-up on the EPSB Under-21 Premier Tour last season, previously appeared at this season’s English Open, defeating Scotland’s Fraser Patrick in the opening round before losing to John Higgins.
He also appeared at last season’s World Championship qualifiers, losing 6-1 to Peter Lines.
Benzey will take on Grimsby’s Stuart Carrington during the evening session on Thursday 4 February.
