EPSB Annual General Meeting 2023

Home » EPSB Annual General Meeting 2023

The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB) held its latest Annual General Meeting online yesterday (Wednesday 20 December).

The position of Mandy Fisher (Women’s Inclusion Director) was subject to formal ratification at the meeting and was approved with unanimous support of the membership present.

The latest EPSB accounts were also approved during the meeting.

Nigel Mawer QPM, EPSB Chairman said: “As we reflect upon a successful year for amateur snooker in England, on behalf of the Board of Directors and our Operations Team, I would like to thank the EPSB membership for their continued support.

“It has been a hugely encouraging year for our next generation of English players as talented junior Paul Deaville became the youngest winner of our English Amateur Championship since 2003, while we have also seen the likes of Stan Moody and Liam Pullen turn professional for the first time following their exploits on the international stage.

“We have also seen the continued growth of Seniors snooker with former professional Craig Steadman enjoying success this season, while former World Snooker Federation Championship runner-up Lee Stephens and World Championship runner-up Nigel Bond claimed our Seniors and Over-55 titles respectively.

“The staging of these tournaments and more would not be possible without all of the volunteers and officials who work tirelessly behind the scenes, as well as the many initiatives outside of competition including the 147 Club scheme and the new EPSB Junior Elite Performance Programme launched at the start of this season.

“We look forward to continuing this work in 2024 and to the further development of our sport in our country.”
