Home » EPSB Open Series Prizes Announced

The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards can today announce the prize money structure and bonus prizes on offer for this season’s EPSB Open Series, with the opening events taking place this weekend in Woking (Saturday), Stratford (Sunday) and Hull (Sunday).

Open to all, regardless of playing status or nationality, entry into an EPSB Open Series event is £20. You can enter in advance and pay via snookerscores.net, or on the day with cash. You do not need to be an EPSB member in order to enter.

2022/23 Prize Money

Participating venues this season will receive 15% of the entry money pool for administration and tournament running costs.

The prize money payouts for each event will depend on the number of entries. Following the host venue receiving its admin fee, the payouts will be:

  • 8 entries – winner receives 100%
  • 9-16 entries – winner receives 70%, runner-up receives 30%
  • 17-31 entries – winner receives 50%, runner-up receives 25%, semi-finalists each receive 12.5%
  • 32 or more entries – winner receives 40%, runner-up receives 20%, semi-finalists each receive 10%, quarter-finalists each receive 5%

Q School Bonus

The EPSB will once again award free Q School places for those at the top of the Open Series rankings at the end of the season – providing they do not already have a WST card for the 2023/24 professional campaign.

There is already a guarantee of two free Q School places on offer. The top ranked player will earn one of the places, whilst the next 16 ranked eligible players will take part in a playoff event which will be held and sponsored by the Tradewell Snooker Club in Hull (date to be arranged).

It is possible that further prizes will be announced, but these are still to be confirmed.

Please note, the Q School places are for the 2023 event only and cannot be exchanged for monetary value.
