EPSB Players Set for European Championships

The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards is delighted to announce the players that have qualified for the upcoming EBSA European Amateur Snooker Championships that will take place in Malta next month. 

First held in 1988, this prestigious continental event is organised by the European Billiards and Snooker Association. The 2023 edition – featuring the main open championship and junior categories – will be held at the Dolmen Hotel in St. Paul’s Bay between March 6-18. The Malta Billiards and Snooker Association (MBSA) is the host nation organiser. 

As well as competing for the titles and prize money on offer, the winners of the Main and Under-21 Championships will also receive two-year World Snooker Tour cards for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons. 

The English players who have qualified for the Championships through EPSB events are as follows: 

Main Championship 

  • Jamie Curtis-Barrett (Reigning English Amateur Snooker Champion)
  • George Pragnell (Number One on the 2022/23 English Amateur Snooker Tour)
  • Martin O’Donnell (Number Two on the 2022/23 English Amateur Snooker Tour)
  • Ashley Carty (Number Three on the 2022/23 English Amateur Snooker Tour)
  • Harvey Chandler (Number Four on the 2022/23 English Amateur Snooker Tour)
  • Patrick Whelan (Number Five on the 2022/23 English Amateur Snooker Tour) 

Under-21 Championship 

  • Liam Pullen (Number One on the 2022/23 Under-21 PD Tour)
  • Ryan Davies (Number Two on the 2022/23 Under-21 PD Tour)
  • Bradley Cowdroy (Number Three on the 2022/23 Under-21 PD Tour)
  • Oliver Sykes (Number Four on the 2022/23 Under-21 PD Tour)
  • Samuel Lee-Stevens (Number Five on the 2022/23 Under-21 PD Tour)
  • Paul Deaville (Number Six on the 2022/23 Under-21 PD Tour) 

Under-18 Championship
