Robert Hall defeated Peter Sheehan 842-285 at the Landywood Snooker Club to win the English Billiards Championship for a fifth successive year.
Hall remains the only player to win the event since it began in 2022 and he continued his dominance with victory over Sheehan, who had earlier made history by compiling a break of 1,087 – the highest ever at an English Partnership for Snooker & Billiards (EPSB) competition.

A total of 30 players contested the event at the popular Staffordshire venue which also hosts both the World Billiards Championship and UK Billiards Championship.
The eventual champion began with a clean sweep of group stage wins over Chris Coumbe, Martin Goodwill, Ron Bickerdike and Paul Lloyd before defeating John Hughes 764-158 to reach the quarter-finals.
From there, further comfortable wins against Darren Clark (863-253) and Robert Marshall (834-185) set up a title match meeting with Sheehan, who had reached the final courtesy of his record-breaking contribution in the semi-final with Jonathan Marwood.

Hall’s bid for a fifth consecutive crown rarely looked under threat, however, and he wrapped up another memorable victory by overcoming Sheehan by a 842-285 scoreline at the Landywood Snooker Club.
