The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB) is pleased to announce that next month’s English Women’s Snooker Championship will be sponsored by Inter County Logistics.
Inter County Logistics is a family run business located in the heart of Shropshire which specialises in the rapid transportation and safe delivery of vital documents, parts, equipment and emergency data. The company covers the whole of Shropshire, as well as clients in Wolverhampton, Stafford, Mid Wales, Cheshire and Stoke, and delivers throughout the whole of the UK and Europe.
The one-day Championship will take place at the Landywood Snooker Club on Friday 12 May 2023, with the winner set to claim the prestigious national title won last year by Rebecca Kenna following a 4-3 victory against Jamie Hunter. The event will be immediately followed by the British Women’s Open, the final world ranking tournament of the 2022/23 World Women’s Snooker Tour.
The 2023 Championship is open to any woman player who has a valid 2022/23 EPSB Women’s Membership. Become an EPSB Member here.
The format will feature an initial groups phase with the top players qualifying into the knockout rounds.
Match lengths, and the number of players in the groups and the knockout rounds will be determined after the closing date. The draw will be made on the morning of the Championship.
Entry for the event is already open via WPBSA SnookerScores and will close on Friday 5 May 2023 at 12:00pm.
As per the EPSB’s International Selection Criteria, the winner, runner-up and semi-finalists from the Championship will be invited to compete at the following EBSA European Women’s Individual and Team Championships.
