Jones Wins Seniors Title in Weston-Super-Mare

Home » Jones Wins Seniors Title in Weston-Super-Mare

Neal Jones beat Anthony Harris 4-0 to win the first English Seniors Tour event of the season at Unit 27 in Weston-Super-Mare.

The two-day competition saw 43 players competing for the title in Somerset and it was 50-year-old Jones who came away victorious.

Jones kicked off the weekend in style with a break of 103 in his very first frame – which was one of three century breaks compiled during the event which raised money for The Brain Tumour Charity, the official charity partner of the EPSB during the 2026/27 campaign.

Consecutive whitewash wins over Robert Pope and Mark Taylor earned the eventual champion a place in last 16 where he then overcame Stephen Delaney 4-2, having trailed 2-1, to secure a spot in the final day.

Gary Milne provided Jones with his sternest test of the weekend as the 47-year-old rallied from 3-0 behind to force a decider at Unit 27.

A decisive break of 82 was enough for Jones to get over the line, however, before he then defeated Steve Crowley 4-2 to set up a title match meeting with Harris.

A memorable run for Harris has seen him beat Gary Miller (4-1) and Mark Vincent (4-2) on the final day to reach a maiden final.

It was Jones’ day though, as he took all four frames of the final to win the first English Seniors Tour event of his career in style.

The English Seniors Tour continues on 21-22 November at the Landywood Snooker Club. Enter now via WPBSA SnookerScores.
