The 2026 English Under-21 Championship takes place this weekend (21-22 February) at the Landywood Snooker Club.

The event, which was won last year by current World Snooker Tour (WST) professional Liam Pullen, features an incredible 66 players – a 100% increase on the 2024 edition of the Championship, as well as a prize fund which has more than doubled since last year.

Among the stellar line-up is 2024 champion Paul Deaville, last year’s runner-up Oliver Sykes, English Junior Tour champion Vladislav Gradinari and English Under-16 champion Shaun Liu.

FORMAT

The format of the event is as follows:

  • Group Stages: Best of 3 Frames
  • Last 32 & Last 16: Best of 5 Frames
  • Quarter-Finals & Semi-Finals: Best of 7 Frames
  • Final: Best of 9 Frames (*Subject to Tournament Director discretion based on the time of day)

Please ensure you arrive at the venue at 9:15am on the Saturday. Only players present at the club at this time will be entered into the group stage draw.

  • Semi-Finalists: £150
  • Quarter-Finalists: £100
  • Last 16: £50
  • Last 32: £30
