English Amateur Tour 2021/22 – Update

Home » English Amateur Tour 2021/22 – Update

We can today announce that we have taken the decision to remove the proposed cap on entries for this season’s EPSB English Amateur Tour (EAT) to ensure that all players have the opportunity to compete in our flagship series of events.

Due to the continued uncertainty and the potential risk of government restrictions impacting upon opportunities to stage events later this season, this season’s EAT events will run over one day i.e. six events held over three weekends. To ensure that these events run as smoothly as possible, we therefore limited the number of entries to these events to a maximum of 48 players.

However, following the opening of event entries last Friday, it has quickly become apparent that the demand from our players to enter these competitions is exceptionally high and significantly exceeds 48.

To ensure that no player is denied the opportunity to compete therefore, we have taken the decision to open up each of the six events to unlimited entries.

We will confirm over the following days how this may affect the format of competitions and how this will work logistically.

In the circumstances, we therefore advise players not to book non-refundable accommodation for these events at this time.
