EPSB Referees Announcement

Home » EPSB Referees Announcement

Following the recent changes in respect of the organisation of snooker and billiards in this country we can today make an initial statement concerning refereeing arrangements and plans for the upcoming 2019/20 season under the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB).

We are pleased to confirm that the annual EPSB referee membership will be set at £20.00; this remains the same rate as an equivalent membership last season. The cost will also include a tie, blazer patch and name badge all with the newly rebranded EPSB logo on them. The application for memberships will be open by the end of July – we thank you for your patience on this.

We are also proud to announce that World Snooker referees Brendan Moore and Rob Spencer will work closely with the EPSB and take active roles as our ‘Referee Co-ordinators’. As I am sure you are aware, Brendan and Rob have a wealth of experience officiating at professional and amateur levels; we are grateful for their time and guidance.

Brendan Moore said: “We look forward to working with the EPSB; a new and exciting dawn for both sports at amateur level. Rob and I wish to provide a fair and efficient protocol for EPSB refereeing allocations that will open up as many opportunities as possible to officiate at a variety of competitions. We also understand that some may have further aspirations within snooker and billiards, and we want to make sure that they have a clear pathway and the best tools to achieve their goals.”

Proceedings will be moving at a rapid pace over the coming weeks regards several aspects of the EPSB. Please keep an eye on these updates and notifications through our social media channels on Facebook and Twitter, or alternatively you can contact us via email on referees@epsb.co.uk.
