The 2024 Landywood English Seniors Championship takes place this weekend (27-28 January) at Landywood Snooker Club.
Defending champion Lee Stephens, who defeated Craig Butler 4-1 in last year’s final, will defend his crown in a field of 63 players over the age of 40.
Notable names in the line-up include 1995 World Championship finalist Nigel Bond, former ranking event semi-finalists Craig Steadman and Peter Lines plus previous Landywood English Senior Championship winners Wayne Brown, Shaun Wilkes, Nick Pearce, John Welsh and Ian Brumby.
This year the Landywood English Senior Championship will be held at the popular Landywood Snooker Club, which is also sponsoring the tournament meaning it will carry an increased prize fund in 2024 as a result.
Paul Lloyd, owner of the Landywood Snooker Club, said: “We are delighted to be both hosting and sponsoring the prestigious English Seniors Championship. We are excited to see all the players at the end of the month and I am sure it will be a fantastic event.”
The first day of the championship will be a group stage, followed by knockouts on the Sunday from the last 32 onwards. Please note that due to an exceptional number of entries for this year’s event, the group stage matches will be best of three frames.

- Last 32, Last 16 & Quarter-Finals: Best of 5 Frames
- Semi-Finals & Final: Best of 7 Frames

The prize fund for 2024 is as follows:
- Winner: £500
- Runner-Up: £250
- Semi-Finalists: £150
- Quarter-Finalists: £75
