Steadman Seals Seniors Success

Home » Steadman Seals Seniors Success

Craig Steadman defeated Peter Lines 4-0 at the Landywood Snooker Club to win the fourth English Seniors Tour event of the 2025/26 campaign.

Victory in Walsall for the 43-year-old sees him become the fourth different winner of an English Seniors Tour event this season and rise to second in the ranking list with one event remaining.

A total of 41 players embarked on the Staffordshire venue for the two-day event and Steadman opened up with a 4-2 win against Ian Jones before securing his place in the final day by completing back-to-back whitewashes over Wayne Brown and Nick O’Sullivan.

A mammoth quarter-final contest against Steve Donner saw Steadman race into a 3-0 lead to move one away from victory before his 41-year-old opponent rallied to dramatically force a decider.

The reigning European Seniors champion held his nerve to get over the line in the final frame by a 61-10 scoreline before earning a more comfortable 4-1 success against fellow former professional Mark Joyce.

Lines awaited him in the title match as the 56-year-old aimed to make it successive successes on the English Seniors Tour after lifting the event three crown in Leeds last month.

Steadman proved to be too strong on this occasion, however, and after taking a tight opening frame he then fired in breaks of 85, 68 and 74 to complete a 4-0 victory and take home the title.

The fifth and final event of the 2025/26 English Seniors Tour takes place on 3-4 January at the Landywood Snooker Club. Enter now via WPBSA SnookerScores.
