Home » Q-School Opportunity for EPSB Officials

The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards is proud to announce that several of its referees have been appointed to officiate at next week’s Q-School at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

A global event open to all amateur players, this year’s Q-School features over 170 entrants challenging for 12 two-year professional World Snooker Tour cards across three tournaments.

Alongside colleagues from other countries, the 13 referees representing the EPSB throughout the seven days are:

  • Matt Ashton
  • Mark Beale
  • James Chambers
  • Tony Dougan
  • Rod Eaton
  • Steve Heath
  • Anthony Hough-Allen
  • Mark Kinnell
  • Gordon Linton
  • Graham Mason
  • Peter Ogburn
  • Marek Sedmak
  • Mark Tebbutt

EPSB director Simon Berrisford said “Congratulations to all our referees that have been selected to officiate at the 2020 Q-School next week.”

“This is deserved recognition and reward for their efforts travelling to and working hard at numerous events up and down the country earlier this season and many years before. It is a fantastic opportunity and a demonstration of how we can provide a bridge towards the professional circuit. The EPSB is grateful to the World Snooker Tour for showing faith in us by appointing so many of our referees for the week-long event.”

Q-School begins on Monday. Links to the draws can be viewed on the WST website here.
